They definitely stretch out as you wear them. Go a size down if you can comfortably fit into a smaller size. Super soft fabric, nice deep pockets. Can be hot on warm days.Comfortable and perfect for climbingI’m 118 Ibs 5.6” fit perfectly with size XSI love these pants! I’m a climber and needed durable pants because leggings snag and get holes so easily. I ordered a small (I’m 5’7” and 125lbs) but they fit more like a medium. They’re baggy but they have a drawstring waistband so I can tighten them as much as I need. If you want baggy and durable, get these!I’ve been wanting a nice pair of climbing pants in this style for some time, and finally decided to buy a pair when I saw the lovely purple color of these black diamond pants. By the company’s size chart, I should be a small (or a medium If I’ve been eating too many burritos. My waist measures between 28” and 30”)So I bought these pants in a size small and was delighted when they arrived. The fabric quality, stitching, articulation, and details were everything I wanted, except the pants were very roomy. The roomieness would be okay if I’m spending the entire day in long underwear and a harness climbing, but even with the drawstring cinched as tightly as possible, the pants were sliding down and billowing in the wind. So roomy, that they acted like sails when I was walking across a field of sagebrush and the desert wind nearly knocked me over! So the size small is really only wearable if I’m tied into a harness to hold them up. Not ideal.I ordered a pair of these pants in XS and they’re even larger than the size small! Here are some photos to show the size discrepancy. I’m 5’5” and 120 pounds- usually a small or medium in climbing clothes but would likely need an XXS in these pants and that seems crazy! The purple size small were a great length for me (I have a short torso), but the extra length on the dark blue size XS made the pants into a tripping hazard.I’m sad to return these and hope a more accurately sized product replaces them.Look very stylish and actually long enough for me.I’m 5’7, 135 lbs and have muscular butt and 38 inch hips. I got these in a medium and loved them, and wore them a lot- then they stretched out by like two sizes and I constantly had to pull them up- decided to get another pair in small, and out of the box tney are definitely a lot more snug but I have been wearing them for a few hours, and they have already stretched to actually fit well. So I will still wear the mediums but these smalls are sooo much better. I’mUsually a medium in every brand- def not a small. For those of us with larger hips/thighs, these pants are wonderful. I had to order one size smaller than my regular size as these run large. I love them so much I got several colors!!Love the fabric and a bit of stretch for climbing. That’s what I bought these for. I am 5’7” and 155, I bought a medium and kinda wish I got the small. They run big.I love these pants, I bought 2 pairs. They are really comfy, airy and light. My only issue is I got a UK 12, the waist is a little loose and I sometimes have to keep pulling them up. Other than that, I can't fault them. They do have a waist tie which definitely helps. They are not so loose that it is uncomfortable or that it gets in the way of climbing. Would definitely buy more in the future!Love these trousers, I have six pairs in different colours. I wear them as everyday trousers as well as for climbing, hiking etc they are super comfortable and have a good bit of stretch for movement.Good quality, size fits as expected
