We had an electrician install it, but it did not take long. It looks good.This light is perfect in our bathroom. It is very bright with 5 bulbsI'm not overly excited about this item. The price seemed high for five cookie-cutter lamps and a totally "meh" backing plate. I like the chrome strip, but mine had a distinct bow in it that is obvious if you know where to look. My family doesn't notice those things, and sometimes it's too much trouble to send things back. I mounted mine upside down, which works fine, and I used small warm-white LED bulbs that together make for a good bathroom lighting situation. I'm afraid the brass plating looks about 5 atoms thick, especially on the curved parts of the lamp assemblies, but I'll probably be long-gone before rust or base-metal shows through. If that happens, however, I *promise* to come back and haunt Livex, probably in their management break-room.Happy to have found this fixture in the silver/gold combination which matches my fixtures. Looks even better than expected. I put 4 watt small sized round globe LED lights into the fixture and it gives me the same light that I had with incandescent bulbs at a cost savings. It also fit perfectly where my old fixture had been.Nice looking but not real sturdy. I mounted the back plate into the 2 drywall anchors and added another 2 screws through the backplate into some studs. The backplate is strurdily fixed to the wall, but the cover plate is attached with only two small bolts. The lights attach directly to the cover plate (not the backplate). Even without the glass covers, the weight of the fixture pulls away from the backplate along the top edge. When fully assembled, the top edge of the cover plate pulls a full half inch out from the wall. There should be some kind of hook on the inside of the cover plate that seats into the backplate along the top edge. I don't think this fixture would survive a small earthquake here in southern California.We chose this fixture because the master bath in the house we bought had only polished brass and looked too "goldy". We wanted to transition chrome and brass to tone things down a bit. We accomplished the objective with this fixture and polished brass and chrome faucets and with a frameless shower enclosure. We love the light fixture but be sure to install short neck bulbs so the included shades fully hide the bulbs.Look very nice in my master bathroom. I need to order the same one with three bulbs nowThis light fixture was exactly as described and the quality is excellent. It was delivered quickly. I have no complaints.
