It is a very frustrating world when you have very narrow feet. I loved the Birkenstock Yara sandals. They were the first pair of sandals I could wear that gave me great support and looked strappy and fun. I had them for a year and literaly wore them to death because there is not much else out there. Narrow shoes tend to be quite basic and are not attractive. When you go to a nice shoe store like Nordstroms and pick out a few pairs you like. But what they bring out is none of the ones you picked. The Yara's I had were Black Patent. They went with everything! It was disappointing when I wrote to Birkenstock and they wrote back stating Birkenstock still makes the Yara in medium width but will not be making them in the narrow width anymore. . I tried these but without the toe support at the big toe and the angled lower strap keeping my foot in place these have fallen short. Because they are leather they have already stretched out some and my toes are banging forward in the shoe It is causing the corking around the front toe area to fray a bit. I really want them to work so I am going to take them to a shoe shop to see if they can punch more holess in the straps so I can tighten the buckles. Hoping it won't pinch my feet to much. Not getting the good support so my feet ache after I wear them for just a few hours. I could wear the Yara's all day. Wish I could say I love the Daloa's but they are not measuring up. I really loved the Yara's and wish I would have bought two pairs when I found out they fit so well. Lesson learned!
