My husband and I live in a wooded area and have trails cut out on our property to walk our dogs. These are perfect as we have a lot of ticks and I needed boots where I can tuck in my pants in. The support is good. I usually where between a 7 and 8 in boots, sneakers. I opted on getting the size 8 for this boot. I wasn't sure how they would fit. They are a little big, but I didn't want a boot too small and have to return. I just put on thick socks. If I had gotten the size 7 I am sure they would have fit just right. I am 5 ft. and the sides of the boot come up 5" below my knee. Not tight, just what I was looking for. I would buy this again, just in a size 7.
