I bought these shows to wear with dress pants or a skirt and tights in fall and winter weather when I'll be walking outdoors much. We get little snow in winter but lots of rain so I made sure to waterproof them with Dubbin. Shoes are comfortable and don't chafe anywhere on my feet. They're practical and comfortable yet still look classy. With proper care, I expect them to last for years as I've had Clarke shoes do in the past. One person mentioned in another review that these weren't actual leather but I've no idea why. They ARE leather!
